Dan DeMarco was first elected to the Board of Commissioners in Ross Township, Pennsylvania, in 1999.  He is currently serving his third term.

As Commissioner, Dan eliminated patronage from the Public Works Department, saved taxpayers millions of dollars by instituting a professionalized pavement management program, and fought to keep taxes in Ross Township among the lowest in Allegheny County. Dan is also a practicing attorney and serves as General Counsel for a national management consulting firm. 

Dan is a lifelong resident of the North Hills of Allegheny County and is active in his community.  He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Northland Public Library, the Local Government Academy, and the Congress of Neighboring Communities (CONNECT).  Dan has 12 years of experience as a former volunteer firefighter with the Berkeley Hills Fire Company. 

Dan is a graduate of Allegheny College and Duquesne University School of Law.
